Paul Dickson, chief executive officer, Innovation Broking
Paul, 60, is CEO of Innovation Broking, a division of Dickson Financial Services Limited, launched in 2015. Paul originally founded award-winning Dickson Insurance Brokers in 1986. In 2008 Dicksons was sold to Giles Insurance – now part of Arthur J. Gallagher – where Paul held various UK retail MD roles, at one point managing 14 offices and c. £70m GWP. His insurance career started at CIN Properties, an investment unit of the National Coal Board’s Pension Schemes. He then joined brokers Towry Law in 1977 and went on to become divisional director responsible for the southern region’s commercial division. Paul is an FCII. For 11 years he was the principal general insurance contributor to the Daily Mail’s ‘Ask the Experts’ column. He also sits on BIBA’s Large Brokers’ Advisory Board, and is on the board of the technology-risks broker association TechAssure. Paul has extensive experience in the management of more complex risk management and insurance programs, with special knowledge of the tech and professional services sectors. Paul is married with one daughter and lives in Surrey.
